Symphony No. 1 in F minor

Hi all,

This work was written quite some time ago by me and is not finished completely yet. But I have some ideas on finishing it, but I will post what I have got so far.

Symphony No.1 in F minor
1. Allegro con brio
2. Adagio cantabile
3. Vivace scherzando
4. Intermezzo: Andante tristamente
5. Finale

The fourth and fifth movements are still very rough and the second movement, I think will be changed too. My orchestration was really bad, so I might have to re-orchestrate them.

Because this is an early work, I just wrote it for the sake of writing. I used the first movement extensively to study my orchestration skill. The second movement melody is a melody that I want to use and develop more (not developed and used well at all atm). The third movement, is a scherzo.

I have a plan to combine both the intermezzo and finale, maybe put in the intermezzo's theme in the middle of the finale, I am still not sure yet but I would want to use ideas from all the movements in the final movement.

I hope you enjoy listening to this.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

And by the way, you said that wour orchestration is bad, well what are your instruments? It sounded pretty good for the most part, a bit loose at times but overall it was pretty good for a young composer. How long did it take you to finish?

Wel, I haven't really finished it yet. And I wrote this at like 2004, I forgot about the process almost completely haha.

The instruments are Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Bassoons, Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, Timpani and String orchestra.

=)
