That settles it. I'm saving up for EWQ. Man, I love this track! I can do so much with loops, but this is on a whole different level.

Yes, very LOTRish, indeed. I needn't say it's excellent. I listened to it. And, while the music created epic imagery, I rushed to watch the trailer and was very disappointed. Just some background art and text. Argh...

Yeah, I watched the video too. Seems a bit of a let down. Awesome music but with nothing happening behind it. I supposed it helped me imagine the battles it described...

Yup, the video is nothing special, although I do follow with the music exactly the txt (at least ). I would love to have an awesmoe video to score and so on, but this kind of game (adventure) does not lend itself for such scoring really...

Either way I'm very pleased with the music hihi Cheers guys for liking it

Freaking awesome, not much else I can say about this one. Other then it sounds more suited for a movie then a videogame.

I find it quite fascinating and fantastic I have to admit, one of my favourite tracks! But then again it's my work so I can't really comment on it (but just did. hihi)

Hi !
Your music is really really GREAT !
I love it very much. It touched me a lot.
In how many time have you made it ? Since how many time are you composing ?

Best moments for me :

0:32 : something happening
0:43 : wonderfull voices, very peacefull
1:10 : best moment for me : could you share that part of the score ? This sound is great
It remember me Lord of the ring a little.
3:33 : remember me Spiderman, don't you ?

At the end, I would have appreciated to have the begining theme with variation maybe. (Just personal taste) The end is not really a "end".

I love the action of all the track.
The sound is very good too, please, tell us what software you are using.

I understand what you mean when you say it is fascinating. I feel the same sometime for my music.

Nothing is more beautifull to express perfectly a feeling, and this can be done with music ! When we success to do it, it is heaven !

You can be proud of your track !

Thanks for sharing. I will listen it very often. It is one of the best music published here.

Thank you,

Max
PS : sorry for my bad english

If I understand correctly. It took around 100 hours (yes I'm THAT slow at times) to write, orchestrate, copy to Finale, tranfer and produce in Cubase, mix and rework and master...

I composer since around 10 or maybe earlier probably. I'm 30 now.

I can't share the score, as it's messy. But at 1:10 it's just the timpani + bas drum (2 layers), Contrabass and Violoncello hitting at the bass, and the low notes are bassoon, contrabassoon, trombone, tuba, and contrabass (again. Yes I cheated!)
3:33: Spiderman? I don't know which movie of the 3, but I don't have any soundtrack of spiderman, and have not yet seen No.3. could very well be though, as it is kinda clichéd...

It actually is the same theme, more or less. Based on the same chords that is.

Cubase SL3, EWQLSO Gold (not xp pro) and EWQL Symphonic Choirs.

No problem man, your music makes mine sound like crap. From what I understand you actually compose for a living, I am interested in that very same field. Any tips you can give me?

Hmmm... not sure what tips exactly you want. (honestly, I can guess but...).

Let's see...

1. Don't go out in public forums proclaiming your music sounds like crap! why would anyone hire you to produce crap music?
2. Be precise in what you want. "any tips", is soooo general that I wouldn't know where to start and where to end. Who are you, what exactly you want to do (music, is not valid, what music, what level, what kind, what country, eveything counts), what can you do, and so on.
3. I'm not being a smartass, honestly, I'm trying to help. I've seen SO many ads wanting jobs for musicians, which lack the very basics (for example, posting that you're a composer looking for a job, but don't have any links to your music. Who would care enough to check you out really? and so on)...
4. A while back I made this thread exactly to asnwer your type of question. I hope it helps: How to make it... - CGEmpire
It is a tutorial of sorts, with advice, general and more precise on getting into the music industry.

5. Never expect a top 10 list of advices on what to do to enter the music business. Lists like these go up to No. 5. :p

(PS. your music on soundclick is not bad at all! why would it be crap? Don't ever say your music is crap please!)
