Talking s***

Category:YC Music Articles

as i've understood it, this particular category is the place for subjective creative outlets. People have generally signed their name on articles placed in this category. They should not sign them outside of this category. This category is an exception.

For all other non-subjective articles, official wiki style should be used. maybe these subjective articles need their own template, so that people won't mistake them from dispassionate wiki articles - some people seem upset that people are signing their articles, while it is themselves that are ignorant about the purpose of this category.

can we agree on this? please talk.

I agree that articles should only be signed when it's in that category, and that other articles should all be in a standardised style, but not that YC Music Articles should have a template - I think they and they alone should be free from templature.

Thoughts?

PS I changed the title, what you gonna do about it?

Anders has thoughts

Can you explain the rationale for this? Jujimufu was galivanting around, complaining that people were signing their articles, so the circumstances might imply that we should somehow distinguish these articles from the rest so that we might have less bitching about people signing their articles. Do you see any other way this could be done? Anders understands the fact that you argue to keep yc music articles unspoiled, but maybe there ought to be something that discerns them from the rest so that the aforementioned bitching might be eliminated. the question is what. *wheeze wheeze---wheeze-----.. . wheeze*

Mark, did you censor anders' thread?

Ah, I appear to have had a brain fart. If you mean a template as in a wkii template as opposed to a pre-determined structure to the article then I'm all for it. Something to the effect of
"This is an article written for YC by a member of YC and contains the author's own thoughts and shiz and does not necessarily represent the views of Young Composers." (subject to revision)

Yes I censored your thread, and I'm now merging your posts. Abuse of power, anyone?

I fully agree on the prospect of creating a template to apply to these types of articles - I am all for it.

Nice nebula, by the way.

Any suggestions on the exact content of the template? My draft was a bit on the rough side I have to admit...

Thanks
