Tango Guidelines and Pointers

Hello again everyone!

I'm currently writing a Tango for Contemporary flute (So jet tones, multiphonics, flutter tongue is all in!) and piano.

I understand rhythmically the way the Tango works. It is kind of hard not to! lol

However, harmonically and structurally I'm not so sure.

So any general information on common chord progressions, structures etc would be hugely appreciated.

Also, any suggestions in regards to writing melodies for Tangos?

The tango I write will probably be like a fantasy of different styles of tango, so any pointers etc would be great as this is new for me!

Also, is there anything to keep in mind when writing a melody for a Tango? Thanks!
