For Ten Players

This is the first thing I've written and completed in a while, due to writer's block. Ugh. Hope you enjoy, and tell me what you think.

Hello. Congratulations on getting out of writer's block. I completely understand on how much of a pain in the butt that can be. I really liked your melody in the violin with those half note triplets. It really worked. I also liked your use of movement in the flute parts. Especially in the Andante part where it was slightly arpegiating (sp?). It added really good timbres to the piece. Do you plan to write more on this piece or is it completed?

Thank you! I actually think I'm done with this. I may tweak a few things, but I don't want to add much more for fear of it becoming really... too busy. You know what I'm sayin'?

Nice piece overall..I think it builds quite nicely, but think that by about half way, the biggest moment has come already and the piece starts settling down. The trill towards the end sounds somewhat out of place and makes the piece sound suddenly old. I felt the first half is definitely stronger than the second half though.

Alrighty. I'll take that into consideration next time I'm writing something, although I must say that I wanted a peaceful feeling at the end. Thanks!
