tiff graphic files not working

I used to be able to export a selection from a Finale file to a tiff file, and insert the file into Word (this is handy when you want to have just a selection of music amongst other material). It would then print out at very high quality.

Now (after having to re-install my operating system after a crash) I find that the tiff file appears as a low quality graphic. My understanding is that the tiff file is associated with the actual fonts etc in Finale, and therefore is able to produce the high quality appearance. Fonts etc in Finale are working fine, and scores print at high quality directly from Finale.

Does anyone have any idea how this problem might be fixed?

Here's what a tiff file looks like now, when I load into Word (or Photoshop). Very yucky. I'm using Finale 2001a.

I'm assuming that you've already tried simply telling Finale to save as higher-quality TIFF from the export window?

PROBLEM SOLVED

Thanks Marius, you got it in one. I hadn't noticed that the TIFF file resolution had re-set to the default value of 72. I set it to 600 dpi and it's fine now.
