Cool Travel Theme from Quintessence-TBV

Hi guys, it's been a long time since I posted anything, but here's a theme from Quintessence -TBV (the game). Mark was asking me if I had any new pieces and that's when I decided to upload this piece.

Note: The drum and the cymbals are unstable towards the end, please ignore that.

Enjoy, any comments are welcomed.

Cheers,

James

Hey it would help if you would comment on others!

I like this. Peaceful, more like like background music. Not very memorable though and it sounds like music I have 1000 times before. Good music, just not very original.

Ahwell, you have talent keep at it.

Interested in what you have to say about my work.

Nice, really keeps my interest. Maybe too well though, it sounded to me like there was almost too much going on. Makes an excellent travel theme though.

Perhaps in need of extension though?

Other than that, good.

Just listened to the piece and don't have much time to write.

The style is very suitable for a travel theme in a video game. The broad orchestral sound tends to evoke an even greater sense of wide and untamed country. I feel that the melody and chord progression IS original though the style in itself is rather popular now-a-days amongst video game composers and some film composers. The only real large issue I have with this is the fact that it ends without any indication of a segue back to the beginning (of course I am assuming that the track will be looped as the player travels). If it is going to be looped you will need some sort of passage to connect the end to the beginning which will need some modulation since you change keys.

Good work!

Oh, its usage actually isn't a loop, but just a cut-scene that ends when the song ends. :>

I definitely agree that this is quite travel-y. I like the sensible use of percussion and the mixture between the winds and strings. No real complaints.
