Trio Fugue In G Minor

This is a fugue in g minor I wrote years ago. It's for recorder, violin and continuo. I've always been rather fond of this little fugue because of its liveliness and balance, even though the continuo part is probably more difficult than I would tend to write now. It may be more suitable for bassoon continuo instead of violoncello continuo. I reworked it to make an MP3 for my new myspace music page, and thought I'd share the MIDI here. Thanks.

Although I don't have the time...or the knowledge to write a detailed comment, I will tell you what I think:

It's very pleasant to listen to on the whole. The rhythm never stops bustling and carries the harmony through a lot of different places which in turn makes the piece very interesting. I might suggest a break in the middle where one voice begins new material and then the other voices come in to relieve the ear just for a moment of the stresses of the intense and complex rhythms you continue throughout the piece.

Please write another fugue, I'd love to hear more! Your fugues are very nice (especially the subjects in the fugue challenge)!
