I would definetly be interested in being a student! Have only recently started trying to compose so havn't been a member of this forum for long. I would be interested in learning all genres of composing, film, games, chamber, jazz, etc...To get any guidance on this, escpecially free, I would be very gratefull.

I would love to be both a student and a teacher, my teaching abilities would be very limited though. I would be a lot more capable of being a student, but I think that everyone can learn something from everyone else, like a teacher learning from a student.

I'd like to be both student and teacher. I'd like to teach things like basic theory and aspects of contemporary music, and I'd like to learn from more experienced folk such as The Nightfly, QCCowboy, and Majesty.

I'm honored that you considered me among you list of more experienced people. I'd be gald to contribute in anyway you feel that I can. Although, from what I can tell on the forum you seem pretty knowledgeable and know what you want as a composer. So, if you are interested in learning anything from me just be direct and let me know what it is and I'll be glad to help.

I've been through this thread and have gathered the names of those who volunteered to teach. The staff will now sift through the list and decide who will make up the final array of teachers.

Thanks to all those who have volunteered! It's quite heartening to see just how much knowledge there is floating around YC.

So the staff decides who will teach ? I didn't know that, I already gave an assignment for my first student! hahah ! Does staff really need to pick a teacher? I mean, it already works this way.

I'm assuming that after the list is up we will be able to have some influence as to who our teacher is, am I correct?
