although i live in U.S now, i did spend 12 years of my existence near the yangzi river(china), so this piece is very personal to me, now, i have listened to pretty much all the strauss waltzes, back in the summer i decide to write one, so here it goes, i don't really care if it gets good or bad reviews, this is personal music, and i just want to share it with everybody.

I liked the melodies in this one, but i think that the strings that make the harmony and rhytm were too attackiing, but that might as well be because of the different midi. And after this my vision of the yangzi totaly changed! (since i never saw it ) i somehow felt that the strings in the background are too repetitive, but if you experianced the river in this way then i guess it's ok! also, i think the orchestarization could use a little work... even though the melodies are very neat, you can't experiance them if they are repeated too many times in an exactly same matter... think you needed percussion and woodwind work to make it more interesting. but if you aren't planning on changing anything then i guess it's not bad this way too.

Nice job!
