I think it's fair, and quite unobtrusive. Frankly, I'm surprised you haven't done it sooner.

Also, the content it well suited...either through my own use of Amazon, or through persons/products mentioned on the forum. (I'm inclined to believe the former, as I KNOW my wife wants a KitchenAid Mixer, which has conspicuously appeared alongside Paul Bley albums )

I'm not liking the ads being served by Amazon on the forum, at all. Don't worry, if the ads are this lame by the end of the week, I will think of something else.

Actually, the only complaint I have about the ads is that they keep distracting me from the threads I'm reading because I clink on them out of interest.

I can understand the need for ads to pay for bandwidth, etc, but I don't think they should be in the middle of the thread. It's particularly distracting to the flow of the thread and bleeds blatant marketing. I would suggest putting it at the top or the bottom, but certainly not in the middle.

I do find it a bit intrusive, but know very well how expensive this business can be, and certainly it shouldn't be unrewarded...

I noticed them too. They're a bit intrusive but after a little while, I got used to them. I really don't see what the big deal is about them. Though they are certainly not for those of us who have short att...enti...on sp......Oh, look! I didn't know Amazon was selling Sibelius 5 for $449.00!

I'm cool with the ads, the only ones I have been seeing are ads for composition software

And what's with prices that are ''too low to display''? Are they like negative prices; they pay you for purchasing the product?

Anders.

There is a specific law that forbids companies to advertise their prices if they are lower than a certain point. There is nothing about how low you can go, but there is a law on how low you can show your prices to be. Some kind of stupid fair plan for merchants...
