I'm 65, much older than most here.

I've been composing over for over 50 years, but still young in the sense that my sales are still at $0.00. (Keeping up amateur status.)

The great thing about classical/serious music (I use both terms carefully) is that unlike pop-culture it is not obsessed with worshiping youth. A composer can be productive as long as they want.

Therefore, at 23 I'm still definately young- since I'll still be composing at 94 (barring global castrophy)

I've just joined and I'm 21 - used to compose a lot when I was younger, but allowed myself to become convinced by others that music would get me nowhere ..... hmmm ..... I am now back and devoting myself to proving everyone wrong!

Just as a quick aside - I stumbled across this site the other day and have actually found it to be a very useful resource and both younger and older members are very inspiring and encouraging. *thanks guys!* x

I'll be 25 this year. I was born in '83. I grew up around an upright piano with the letters AW engraved on a decorative plate. It's badly out of tune right now, and two of the pedals don't work. Heavy, too.

they say i'm 16, when i cut my beard, and 34, when i'm bearded. so statistically, i'm 25, but - being bearded most of the time - i'm won't commit a mistake adding 1 more. yes, i'm the older brother of the most of you - being 26 - and for sure i could kick some ass of yours, naughty kids
