Question Where can I find free orchestral scores?

Know of any good sites with free orchestral scores? I'd like to study them.

Oh, searched the forum but didn't find that thread. Thanks, too bad it's mostly piano sheet music though. I'll try some torrents, already found a couple of film music scores.

Y'know, you could try other (legal) methods. Check out university libraries, even public libraries can usually get things brought in. Or even *gasp* don't be so cheap and actually buy them...

Whatever you do, don't broadcast your thievery please.

Oooooh!

I've never actually claimed any piracy - I may imply it, and certainly can't deny that I indulge... ALSO, I'd never use it as a sole means of acquiring music or scores; generally as a last resort for things that are hard/impossible to find, or simply too far beyond my current financial means.

Every score written by Mozart is now online at:

NMA Online
Neue Mozart-Ausgabe: Digitized Version

This should be the English version of the site.

IMSLP will be back online after the 1st of July, and before it went down it had some 15,000 scores which were available legally for free.

So, if you think you can wait, definitely go and check that website It's definitely worth it, I give you my promise.

Other than that, you can try mutopia-project.org, the werner-icking archive, and the choral-something archive. I can't remember the exact links, but if you google them they should come up (don't be too much of a lazy-ass )

How come you thought it was down for good? Since the first moment it was down, Feldmahler said there were efforts being done so that IMSLP will be back as soon as possible, and there were frequent updates in the forum and mailing list. But I guess you were only relying enough on it as long as it was up, and didn't care much about it after it was down..? :X

Anyway, it is coming back, on the 1st of July, and this time for good
