This song i wrote only within 1-2 hours in writing. It mostly progresses throughout the song, it is quite repetitive, but i think the build up throughout the song makes it exciting. I couldn't think of such a great ending to the song, so i just threw in some chords. This sounds like to me, a sort of an inspiring winning as title says, like ur about to finally destroy the boss of a game for good.

Unless you think of a better spot this song would play as, let me know.

Just tell me what you think, i think im getting better, lol. And yes, its really short, but I would just loop it.

Thanks, Kyle Infante

Hi Kyle,

Just streamed it now and thought I'd comment on it. This is the first piece of work I've heard, so I can't say if you're getting better or not but, I think your song is really good. It's fast paced, energetic and I agree with you when you say about when you say:

I think of the tune as progression. That's what it makes me think of. Like when you're winning as you've just said .

Ok, I agree about the repetition. It's a little samey all the way through; needs extending too to about 3 mins. I usually do my songs in sections to eliminate repetition. My songs are never layered e.g. Drumloop, main melody, hi hats, then take out the drumloops etc; like a remix. Each part of mine have a different section like sequence 1, sequence 2 etc.

Anyway, it's very good, but erm, why on Earth did you use MIDI lol?! Are you going to import the MIDI into a sequencer like FL? It'll sound awesome if you do this and put some really high quality instruments in.

Kk, I'm going to get started on my new song now.

Good work Kyle . Keep going!

I'm not surprised judging by the hefty price tag that is wrapped around Cubase:

Fruity Loops (FL for short) is a music sequencer; a really awesome music sequencer. You can get the fruity edition for $100 . I'd recommend getting this version because, personally, it has everything you could ask for... apart from the internal wave editor but hey, nothing wrong with freeware Audacity. But yep, I can honestly say that me buying FL is money well spent. I'm pretty certain cubase doesn't offer much different. I bought FL Fruity Edition (which is the 2nd edition up I think, so in that case, there is one lower priced) because it has chord ability in piano roll. If you need chords which I'm sure most people do, get the fruity edition version which is what I currently have.

Here, I got links for you :

Cheers.

P.S. From the screenshot in the first link: Doesn't the interface look gorgeous . Beautiful.

Isn't all software confusing at first when you're not used to the UI and all the tools and stuff? Yes.

Go to Options > MIDI settings. Give it a port number (I chose the number 1 because it's the first digit after 0)

Import your MIDI file, in the step sequencer, click on your midi instrument, a dialog box with properties will appear. Assign it the port number you chose in the earlier step. THE CORROSPONDING MIDI CHANNEL WILL PLAY. Yep, I had the same trouble when I first started but now it's dead easy.

For only 1-2 hours of writing this, it sounds pretty good. I didn't find it that repetitive. It really does work well as a victory song, or about to achieve victory song.

And for games, at least the old ones where this song soungds like it fits, the songs shouldn't be too long either. So it works I think.

This one seems a tad more focused than your other piece you put up. An Improvement I'd say.
