My house's electrical line has been broken in a storm so I may be out of action for a week or so............

How long are we wanting this to be? Or has that already been stated?

What do you guys think about a kind of rhythmic motif such as

XxxXxXxx|XX-XX---|
The X are accents, the x are unaccented notes, the | are bar lines and the - are 8th rests.

That kind of makes me think of a storm. I don't think I need a midi to display it though.

I don't like the last measure... maybe something like:

|XXxXxX--|

And a heads-up from me as well... I'll be gone for three days.... will be back Saturday.

No comments on that rhythmic figure... I couldn't decide that I liked it or disliked it.

Oooh.. I just got an idea.... for gushing wind in the mallets.... lemme see if I can translate it into actual notes... it involves septuplets.

Edit... a partially successful rendering of what I had in my head... rather weak, but it's a start. Would really need a battery part to back it up.
