Hmm.... a measure got deleted somewhere in the middle, sounded like crap, so I had to put it back in there.

Okay, important here. With that weird rhythm that bluey left for me, I harmonized with vioin II, but I also added some 'cello. I just added the 'cello so that the next person could see where to lay down some heavy downbeats, because without them we lose the whole sense of meter, and that's no good considering the overall character of the piece. So, if you want to eventually change the 'cello part, go ahead, but keep in mind the importance of some of those figures, because they keep the two violins from getting out of line.

I noticed that it kinda sounded a little like crap at such a slow tempo, so at what I guess could be defined as the beginning of the 'middle' section, I cranked it up a notch, so now we have two contrasting tempi, the slow first section, fast middle section, and what will eventually be a slow final section. Slow-fast-slow.

Whoever does 'cello next, we need 'cello to have the melody in the last two measure here, we're creating a texture with the upper strings, and we need to put the focus down below. Agreeable?

Should anybody disagree with anything, just shout out.

I'm posting both midi and .mus, use the .mus if you can. Who here can't work with .mus? I use Finale 2002, so old I can't really use .mus anyways, because I can't open newer files.

I'm a sibelius user, so no .mus for me...

I consider the middle part a little too fast. I would rather say it starts fast (at 118), then does a ritenuto over the next measure, then takes up fast again, then ritenuto, and so on, until measure 45, where I would rather consider a tempo of 110 or a little slower.

Haha, I noticed that after being away from it for a day. I just came back and listened to the midi again and it seemed WAYY to fast.... I guess that means you need to take a break every once in a while or your judgement is impaired.

Yeah, I'd say a steady 108 - 112 BPM would be in order. 118 sounds a little rushed to me know that I come back with a fresh ear.

Don't worry, I'm here to slow you down if you go too fast

There are some sections, especially the beginning of the middle, where you put the 118, where it seemed okay, but only for that measure, for the next one, it seems too fast. And there are some other parts that seem, even at tempo 110, a little too fast, others seem just right, so there has to be found a good balance to keep every part seem as right as possible.

Oh yeah, and name and avatar change for me, just as a quick head's up.
