Arrow Are you in a good mood?

I AM!

It's my Birthday, I'm 21 now. i woke up early today for no reason, and ended up writing this piece. I'm kind of excited for this piece because this is the first piece that sounded purely "happy." It onl y took my about 3 non-stop hours to write it.

If you have heard my other songs, you can definitely tell a difference.

I will change the original title of the song, because I'm sure some people would take an offense from it.

Let me know what you think.

Jolly Jolly good fun for everyone!
Jolly jolly good fun EVERYONE.
Those are the lyrics that came to my mind for some odd reason xD
Very cheerful piece xD

I like the main melody that is going on here.
And indeed- it does sound purely happy .
It sort of sounds like a birthday celebration piece to me but that just might be my odd imagination xD

While I was listening to this piece, the stupid smile on my face was only interupted by bouts of uncontrollable laughter. This song is quite silly. It just makes you feel good to be alive.

That being said, I think it would benefit from being a little shorter. Not that it's obnoxiously long or anything, it's just that... it's hard to sustain happy for that long.

Good piece! It not only sounds happy, it sounds salable--I can easily imagine this as the theme for a PBS television program. It would work just as you did it, or with another arrangement. Register the copyright and try selling it--I'm serious.

I'm sure you're aware that part starts to sound like the intro to the "Do Re Mi" song from "Sound of Music," but you end the phrase differently than Richard Rodgers did, so you're in the clear.

It has a Celtic/Irish folk sound, I think. Don't you?

As for the question, "Am I happy," no, today I'm not. Neither my wife nor my sister has any appreciation of instrumental music, so until I start finishing my pop songs (in progress), I'll continue to get blank stares.

I have never thought about selling a song and have no idea how either. Is it really the worth or what....?

Thank you all for your comments.

Pretty!
Certainly an improvement on 'Happy Birthday'

How about for a title 'Buttlerflies and B's'

I would experiment a bit with slowing it down slightly. Just a guess. I like the middle bit too.

I like it, even though I am not exactly really into happy music or MIDI for that matter. Good work.
