Far from atonal. Skip the fortissimo and dig what you have: great little mysterious, communicative melodies before the return to tonic. which needn't be stated so definitively...

gave it a good coherence, even if the piece as a whole seems segmented. The atmosphere is very appropriate for a nocturne, and even though you qualify it as atonal, various recurring pitch materials make it "accessible"... Good job!
