Elegie in A Minor
This piece is more of an experiment in harmony and modes more than anything else. It is in the A Minor dorian mode to start, but it wanders all around before it finally returns to A Minor at the end. Enjoy!
I definitely know what you're saying here. I wrote it as a little experiment more than anything. I might try expanding it - my composition teacher recommended that. Thanks for your review. (:This is a nice, quaint little piece. It really has a nice atmosphere around it -- it sounds like background music for a mildly dramatic scene.I actually thought that you could have wandered even more than you did. I think the most adventurous harmony you achieved was at measure 7 & 8 ... and after this, you kind of retreat back into A Minor. It all feels a bit too "quick" for me.It's an interesting piece, though. Thanks for sharing, I liked listening to it
I would lie to hear something from you that is really experimental... Just try it, you might get many ideas and inspirations from doing something crazy =)
But i liked it very much and can fit in many situations for the listener to listen to it. Hope that made sence.
