Part of a mass ordinary I've written - to be performed in Denver at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception June 2012

Nice use of counterpoint - simple enough to be straightforward but still interesting and involving all the parts equally. In addition, your ever-changing harmony creates some very stimulating chords between voices. I can't really comment much further without seeing a score though.
Hi,
This is a really great piece you have here! I love your use of counterpoint, almost like a fuge or cannon in some spots...Lots of interesting harmonies, too. It seems singable, and should be fine. This is a live recording, (I'm pretty sure) so you've probably made all changes needed. I really don't have anything to critique here. So that's a good thing, right?

Good luck, and keep composing!

Yes, this is a live recording --Firesign Quartet sang it's premier among a couple of other pieces from the Mass. It is difficult. The singers commented it was some of the most challenging work they've performed in recent years. But, that said, it is possible.
It's a very well done and interesting use of counterpoint. Actual difficulty is slightly on the very hard side but "pushes up glasses" good singers like a challenge :D. On a side note however, it's very nice music music, but I'm having a hard time buying into the text. The piece itself seems to be using the words rather than portraying them. Granted, most singers aren't THAT picky about this, though do be prepared having to "defend" it to a conductor. (Which people have to do anyways)
