'Mission Complete' - Piano Concerto (Movement 1)

- - - - -

In keeping with my love for film and video game music, this is the inspiration behind this piece. This is the first movement to my piano concerto entitled 'Mission Complete'. 2nd and 3rd movement to be upload shortly.

A score would be very helpful to provide an in-depth review.

Yet it seems you go for interesting sound effects at the beginning - I seem to listen at a lower register flute, a harp and a glockenspiel, among others. But I feel the introduction's motif (the arpeggio of the piano) gets too repetitive after a while, as if the piece was never to take off. A pity, since you could do a lot more (I understand this piece is video-game inspired, but if you intend to expand it into a piano concert, you must develop your themes).

The piece ended rather abruptly, but I don't know if the movement finishes right there or if you're still working at it.

Anyway, this music shows considerable talent, although I think you could demand a little more from yourself. Thanks for sharing...!
Really good for a film/video game score, but (as Austenite said) a bit too repetitive for a piano concerto. Unless you plan on being the next Philip Glass, we'll need a bit more progression.
