This is the second prelude, in a more modern style. Its only a short work, the next prelude my friend has challenged me to write in the style of Chopin... I said 'ok' but we will see how successful that is...
I am speechless, i have never heard anything like this before to the point where i have nothing to say except this.
I have never done what you did with this composition in my entire life, congratulations!
Why, what have I done? :S
I would commend you for your wise use of dissonance and unexpected harmonic turns, which keep the piece very interesting. The arpeggios in contrary motion in mss. 20-24 left me astounded, being by far the most outstanding passage of the work, at least to me. Excellent work - I look forward to your next preludes.
lolol @ Marzique
I didn't like the structure of this; to me it doesn't seem like much thought was put into it. You have eight bars of a certain texture, then you're finished with it and segue into four bars of a different texture, and then another one; none of them really have anything to do with each another; they don't transition too naturally; there is no development of ideas. I guess you do get more agitated and then die down for the final bars, though. That shows some thought.
The music itself wasn't that effective to me, though I'll leave that as my personal taste.

You don't like ternary form...?
The structure of the piece is defined through the tonal area's, not the texture. Though the texture remains homophonic (this in itself is possibly going to cause argument) for the most part, excluding the contrary motion which is polyphonic and the ending that is monophonic.
You are quite right when you say there is no development in thematic idea's, considering there is one and I simply repeat it.
I am saddened that my music has failed to connect with you.
You make me sound like I am a careless composer, and I am, well done. I'm glad that my compositional voice portrays my personality and not someone else's.
Thank you.
