Unnamed piano solo
This is a short simple little piece I just find fun to play as a pianist. This is my first submission, I'm kind of testing the waters a bit
The song is for piano, but as I detest the heavy midi sound of piano, I opted for the lighter sounding celeste instead. It isn't officially finished, I could expand it, or just end it as is. Any suggestions and critiques are welcome, as well as maybe a name suggestion
I'm not sure what genre or song form this fits into the best, my other works tend to be romantic, impressionistic. Thanks for listening and commenting.
I'm not sure how to also upload the sheet music..apologies.
Sounds very much like a kind of ballet music. I don't know if it's the celeste to blame, or that the rythmic and melodic patterns are indeed dance-like. Nice work - hope you finish it!
(If you have a .PDF of the score, you can upload it the same way you did upload the sound file - go to "Edit Composition" and you'll be back on the upload interface).

You've got some really cool ideas in this piece, I like it. I'd suggest rethinking some of the arpeggio section, though. It's a great contrast and I like the pitches, but it's somewhat awkward when they slow down and then speed back up to even faster than before.
Good job though! It has an underwater feel to me--almost like the underwater world in Mario or something.

Thank you both for the feedback! Its very helpful. Horripple I assume you are talking about the changing speeds of the arpeggios and not the change in speed of the section itself? Nice comparison to mario, I actually had a more Zelda like visual in my head
Yep. Hah, yeah it reminds me of the Zoras too
