Piano Improvisation

This is a recording of me improvising on the piano. Dedicated to Cheryl, my girlfriend who does not exist because I just made her up. Oh God I'm lonely.

This isn't the same one as the one I uploaded previously, which is now in the archives.

Of all the people you could have chosen to dedicate this to, it has to be someone "imaginary"!

Apart from some technical issues and the fact that the piece did not start (A flat) and end with the same key (F#), it was mostly brilliant - quite the compliment from someone who doesn't give them much. I would give my right hand left pinky right pinky's fingernail to improvise as well as you do!
This is incredible. It does not sound like an improvisation.
I think this is really beautiful, I bet your imaginary girlfriend was shedding tears.
Thanks for the compliments, guys.
This is great Ian. I love the mellow sound. And don't worry a friend of mine has a imaginary mother.
wow the beginning part sounds very Jazzy
very relaxing ^^ love it
nice improvisation indeed...improvising is such a joy isn't it? :D
You actually know exactly what to do when in front of a keyboard... Very well done! Imaginary love is so powerful...

Not only... She later on undressed and offer herself for the first time to Ian! :D

At around 1:30 you change 'soundworlds' by entering a rather jazz/blues period... And then leave it. It sounded as it wasn't full intentional, but you just run out of ideas and let your hands take control. Or something like that...

The whole work is quite fine...
This imaginary girlfriend thing so much more depressing that I envisaged. ;_;
Don't be depressed! I like it!
It's like talking talking and talking! Give the listener a bit of time to think about your words for god's sake! just saying new words in every second (with few repeats) makes the listener confused!
Your lack of strength and power was the part which I didn't like it at all ,"Oh God I'm lonely!..." which was reflected in your music (some people like this kind of music, just my personal opinion) , remember "Solitude is the school of genius" (Emerson) and As You know all of the cool guys were always lonely in history :) " It is odd to be universally known yet to be this much lonely" (Albert Einstein)... Don't blame that you're alone!...

Yeah Ian, Jesus. Why do you suck so much? And why do all of your triads sound so funny?!?
Just improvising ... amazing. I only wonder what you would do if you actually composed a song.

If you don't literally mean a song, I have do have pieces uploaded.
Love the jazzy feel and raw quality that really captures the piano's tonality! Fantastic improvisation! :)
