Toot Your Own Horn
After creating a march to show off the Tuba's abilities, I decided to do the same thing for the french horn. This actually means alot more to me because I'm a horn player and I absolutely HATE marches. All the horns ever get are off-beats, ALL THE TIME! >
This march is different, for a very nice change, the horns have melody throughout the entire thing, and are rarely joined with any of the other instruments. I still have included challenging runs for the woodwinds, so they'll at least have something to do after their many measures of rest. The brass just have oom-pahs or on beats. So to all the horn players out there, this one is for you!

I can see how you want to set an orchestrational issue right. But I feel here that the horns are somewhat overused.
It is good that you write in the more lower register in the trio. that provides a little contrast, but I think horn players can use a little breadth time.
