A Short Lullaby

A short lullaby I spontaneously wrote

NEW AND IMPROVED!

enjoy :)

It's pretty obvious you composed this piece in a burst of spontaneity - and it shows in the score - you didn't even place your own name on it :D , much less a title ... There are several indications misspelled (pui instead of piú, for instance) as well as layout issues (such as hairpins overlapping with dynamics and triplets, and a weirdly positioned arpeggio symbol at the very end).

Fortunately, these flaws are rather easy to fix - since the work itself deserves a better score. You place several nice ideas across the composition, although these are sometimes blurred by the repetitive chords (e.g. those beginning at ms. 10 and again at ms. 19), which seem to hammer themselves home despite being marked pp at some point. It's quite apparent that you have a penchant for interesting harmonies (as shown in other sections of this very work), so these measures sound a bit dissapointing in the context of an otherwise very likeable piece. I understand what you're going for, but I'd like you to rework these passages a bit.

Thanks for sharing!
yeah all that above :D

in m.17 left hand must be arpeggio because not even long hands can play D+A+G.
in m.42 F+A+B is very wide again.
m.35 that double sharp can be natural G.

Strange those arpeggios in diagonal, turn off Magnetic layout for that symbol.

As far as I know Lubally is to sleep, I think your piece is something else, because a baby will never sleep with that.
there are plenty of possible names, just I suck for names too, takes me long to think in one.
YOU CAN TURN OFF MAGNETIC LAYOUT?!
and yeah, I showed this to a friend, and I asked him "what do you think?" and he said "WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF YOUR LULLABY" so, yeah....I'm gonna fix that. Thanks for your reviews!!!
Measure 23 was gorgeous! I agree with the first two reviews. Some parts that the pianist will not play or struggle with, some score issues, some CRAZY harmonies (don't stop, cool things happen when you put unexpected notes together), and definitely loud.

Looking forward to a touched up re-write! Consider re-voicing the chords that are too large and testing out a smaller dynamic range. =D
Wow, thank you for your kind words Joshua!
