Hi, thanks for the interest.
It's always difficult for me to talk about my music. Most of the process is spontaneous. Main influence here is Steve Reich's music. The fifths in the opening "theme" are inspired by his "Octet/Eight Lines" as well as the 5 beat metre, but the end of the piece is probably inspired by his aesthetic in "Double Sextet". There isnt any special technique - there are themes or patterns which get different roles throughout the piece and are placed differently in the metre so the accent in their structure moves. There is also Reich's typical technique -> theme emerging - so that new note emerges in every new repetition of the theme so it completely appears at the end of the repetition process.

That was interesting information for me. As I said, think it sounds really nice, with the metric offsets and the overlapping long notes and all. Lot of good spots. Thanks!
