Piano Piece No 2

Another shorter piece for piano

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I lost interest after 30 seconds. It sounds like you just took some bland generic "chord progression" (really a made up term) and added some notes to it and arpeggiated some chords in the bass. That is a recipe for disaster. Especially when your chord progression is the same 4 chords used in most sappy rock power ballads. This is not romanticism - this is pop music, and not very good pop music at that. A very good thing to keep in mind is that if you can't put anything in an accompanying voice other than block chords or arpeggiated block chords, then leave it blank.

Hope the next one is better!

Well, everyone has their good and bad points, I don't play piano or listen to classical music particularly often. I'm sorry if I've taken this the wrong way but your comment seemed rather holier than thou and not particularly constructive, I'm all up for criticism but only if it helps me to improve. Thanks for listening though, I suppose that was the area I was least happy with too.
I was not intending to be condescending, but I was being completely honest. Honesty is something that is very valuable when receiving commentary on your art. Perhaps you could have qualified in your description that you are not well versed in classical music and that you are unfamiliar with the piano, then listeners would be more understanding. Still, if you yourself believe that it is not very classical, then you should post it in the pop music section, where it would be a far better fit, in my opinion. I'm just critiquing it from an art music point of view.

Well fair enough, I suppose I should have stated, but I think if I had placed this in the pop section it would have received comments asking for it to be put somewhere else. I think I was mistaken in entering it into the Romanticism genre, as I don't think that is applicable. Thank you for your honesty, I'm only looking to improve.
