Leggero e Pesante
This is a Theme and Variation piece I entered as a part of my AS level music coursework. I'm aware it's nothing special or interesting, but I had to stick by a rigid mark scheme and working under time pressure. Any criticism or comments appreciated.

Given the constraints you had when composing this piece, it turned out pretty well, without it being anything "special or interesting". You might return to it and rework it into a more dazzling set of variations when the course is over, so that you have no time pressure this time
. Also, it would be easier for us to help you if you provided us with the score
.
Thank you for that, Austenite, I just attached a score which you can look at if you're still interested
Hi,
This sounds nice for a beginner's piece! The variations were well thought out and I thought they were all interesting in idea. However, I wouldn't call this piece "classical" or anything due to the large number of parallel fifths (one section where it's all parallel fifths!) and unresolved fourths (!) and improper resolutions of suspensions (!). But these are all fine for a beginner and the piece does sound nice, given its scope. I would be interested to see how you develop as you take more coursework!
