Fantasia on a Sunrise

Meditation (Short)

This is my entry in the April competition (normal).  I had a lot of trouble with mixing all the instruments correctly, so hopefully it'll work with whatever you're listen with.  And...yeah, the name really says it all.  Enjoy

Very Beautiful! I think you should have put in another melody and not just that one. I still think it's good though!
A very static piece, mostly hovering over its F major key and below p in dynamics. By sticking with these two traits, and focusing exclusively on slight thematic variations, you attempt to depict a "meditative" mood (as required by the Competition :P ), and succeed for the most of it. But I'd believe you could achieve a similar mood through different means (for example you could use something else besides whole notes the whole time in piano's left hand :D ).

I'll restrain from further comments due to you being a fellow entrant in the same competition as my piece ;) - I don't want to seem like having any kind of influence on the result.

Austenite! Thanks for the review :) Sorry if this is crossing the entrant/entrant boundary, but I noticed that in your piece you left the key signature a lot, which sounded really good. I'm always a little hesitant about doing that due my lack of theory training. I'm afraid that I'll doing something stupid and you guys will laugh at me :P And your piano part is awesome! I'm useless at writing piano parts, which sucks because that's supposed to be every composer's bread and butter. However, I probably should have spiced that left hand up a bit XD
I think this piece is perfect. I would love to hear this live.
