"The New Heavens" is a new Choral work (written by Elliot J Corner from February-April 2012, aged 17) that is based on a text from the Bible that has previously been unset to music. The reason I think is the fieriness of the words, which in my opinion makes for incredible word-painting opportunities! Certainly I am more pleased with this than anything else I've written so far...

I hope to première this work in the Christ's Hospital Chapel this year.

It is dedicated to Christ's Hospital school, for all they have done for me over the years.

"As the new heavens and the new earth
that I make will endure before me.
And from one New Moon to another,
all mankind will come and bow down before me [The Lord].
And they look on the dead bodies of those
who rebelled against me;
the worms that eat them will not die,
the fire that burns them will not be quenched,
and they will be loathsome to all mankind."
