Prelude 1
This is my GCSE (ages 14-16) composition, first attempt.
We have to link it to a specific area of study; I chose Western Classical Music, specifically Chopin's Raindrop Prelude.
Please, comment honestly with what you think.

Not bad at all! The melody and harmony are reminiscent of Chopin, but I can definitly hear your own voice. It has quite an emotional debt to it. Which is amazing for someone your age. The development is also very good. I love the change of register. Compared to Chopin the melody and harmony are a bit static, but I think this difference is why your piece can stand on it's own.
