Prelude in A Major

Pretty good! I'm not sure whether or not it's a prelude either, but it's a pretty good piece. But it's not really great though. I feel like (maybe maybe, just maybe...) if you made this the first movement of a multi-movement piece, that would be better than just having it here by itself (that's just my opinion)

It's a really pretty theme you've got there, which makes we wish a little that you had done a little more with it. That said, as a prelude I think the brevity of this piece suits it well; intuitively there are no parts of this piece that are superfluous or unnecessary, and the way you vary the presentation of the main theme is quite charming.

I was wondering if you could give the score a little more detail; indicate where a cresc/dim would be nice, a few expressions here and there, slurs to indicate phrasing... This may just be me, but I think such detailing would give the piece more flavor, given that the accompaniment to your theme is harmonically rudimentary (that's really not intended as an insult).

In conclusion: this is a great piece, given what it sets out to achieve. A nice, simple miniature that would be a great precursor to some heavier fare.

I think this is one of your better piano pieces. (Yes, I've heard others) It's easy enough for amateurs like us to play, it's not overambitious, and it has good harmonic content.

It'd be nice for you to modernize your piano writing a bit, I think. [closing statement]!
