Baby (reinterpretation of the Beiber tune, yup)

I heard the Dirty Loopz version of 'Baby', and I loved their reharmonization so much I wanted to do something about it. Here's a short piano piece centered around a couple of the themes from the song; I swiped the reharmonization but the melody remains intact. We're going over two-part inventions in my Theory class, and I started out with that in mind but it's not really how it ended, haha.

I'd really like some advice on the left hand running eighth notes, especially those leading up to the climax towards the end of the piece. I'd like to maximise the impact of the build, and I dont' think they're the best choice. Your thoughts?

Symphony no. 1

There! My first symphony, composed through 2006 and early 2007. I consider it a pretty ambitious project, yet I would definitely use better approach towards the form if I composed it today. But it will remain as a document of certain artistic period, when I slowly started to move away from impressionism and began to use more free contrasts and compact combinations.
The performance is live so the quality is not the best. Nor is the performance. The conductor took this piece too easy which I considerably obvious in third movement.

Prelude IV, or Isle of the Dead, v5, 1886

Yet another prelude! It is, unfortunately, only 1/6 of the way to 24, though. I hope you guys will be kind enough to review and critique liberally. Just a few points to be made:

1. This is the painting: http://upload.wikime...B6cklin_006.jpg

2. Like III before it, this is a fairly tumultuous work, but it is more heavily impressionistic and departs slightly from III's fairly conventional tonal language. Some inversions and stuff here and there, but they're not important.

3. This is the first prelude that is actually easily playable! I'm planning to learn it by the end of the week. It's also meant to sound a lot more soft and rubato at certain points, (such as with the rolled chords in the LH right before the RH ascending figure -- those are articulated far too rigidly by the software -- you're supposed to take your time with them) but the playback flaws should not detract from the overall characrer of the piece, or at lease so I hope.

4. I deliberately refrain from using 8vb notation at certain points -- I want to score to look as stark and as uncompromising as it sounds at some points.

5. Some bits are slow, possibly boring. But they really captured mood I was going for.

Okay, enjoy!

The Last Christmas

Cheezy title but whatever, wrote this around the christmas time, just imagine an evil santa sneaking into your house, stealing all the presents and then riding away into the night sky shooting missiles into the city, dropping poisonous gas behind him and avoiding incoming Anti air attacks from the helpless armies below.
