All told here, you have some good ideas. The piece, however, seems to meander on and on. That could be the midi rendering however. Any chances we could see a score for a more thorough review?

As Jason said, you do have some good ideas here, but they need some refinement. For starters the piece is crying for some dynamics. That is why the piece seems to meander along. String Orchestras need even more variation in the dynamics to make up for the loss of timbre differences.
Nice to see you back, I hope you stick around longer this time.

Oh, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about this place. I've just been away for a bit studying (when I have a spot of free time) counterpoint and will soon upload some canon exercises I've completed.
