I should actually thank you for bumping this up. Maybe more will see it, which I wouldn't mind as I'm proud of it.
Koen, you rant on as long as you want. I totally agree; I don't like the acCENT on the wrong sylLAble either, and I try to avoid it whenever I can. There are times when it's simply unavoidable, though, as in this case; this entire movement is based on the Gregorian Chant, which fits melodically into what I'm trying to do here, but not in text underlay. If it bugs me long enough, I may see if I can find a way to make the melody and the text line up more consistently with the arsis and thesis. In your own work, I've noticed you tend to follow a chant-like approach to this problem, but in this more instrumentally informed 18th Century genre that's harder for me to do.
