I really like this! Your percussion was spot on for marching band and I LOVED it! A couple of things I'd change if it were mine! I'd have the winds play with the trumpets when they come in simply for sound and it doesn't really make sense for them to rest when they could add to the sound! If it were concert band I'd understand, but in marching band i try to change things up a little. maybe that's just bad writing on my part? :hmmm: Some of the alto lines probably would be hard to hear, but I think it'll still be okay! I feel like your ending was kinda abrupt! Very good job however!

Great transcribing! (Or other correct word if that's not the right one ^^'

I loved how it sounded the same and was playable to an extent that many people would enjoy it. I also like how the woodwinds didn't play and came in later, but agree that this should've been done for concert band instead if you wanted to do that. I really didn't get the marching band feeling at all - I felt the staccatos were forced, and that the piece simply didn't sound like it was a march. Also, I would put more than just one baritone on the main theme at the beginning.

So overall, it's an amazing start but I feel, knowing your other works, that you could do so much more with it. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. I would love to see that section where they all shout out random words like Mosseltoff and whatnot.

Well it's pretty obvious it's a standtune. I only can see a showband competing with this. However, you posted it up here so you should expect comments that could say anything. but anyway, like i said earlier, i really like this, and i'll add it to my favorites when i get access to a real computer!

If you don't have a score, I probably won't review! ):

Nice job! All the ranges were good. I think it needs just a little bit more marching spark, but that's it. Nice work.

Is there a big drum solo anywhere in this piece? I feel like they just need a jam session at one point where they just go wild. I wanted a big explosion right before the bridge to the chorus, so I felt a little let down. At the chorus the drumline's parts were so boring! Sorry, I'm just a drummer so that's usually the part that I listen to the most.
I am also interested in getting a management degree.
