I appreciate the response. Obviously this work is not even remotely close to being complete. I was just getting frustrated and was contemplating starting over. I just wanted some feedback as to whether I should at least continue with it. So it sounds as if at least you liked what you heard, which is encouraging. I'll think I'll continue work on it and post something more complete later. The samples I used are from EWQL Orchestra Gold edition (a great product). Thanks again...

Hi Luke,
There's not much I could tell you. As I'm still a few light-years away from becoming a real composer, I can only give bare opinions based on superficial impressions and taste. In general, it's quite clear you're an experienced musician. It sounds as scratches for a or various great symphonic works. To me it all has a little of an epic air, specially for the use of the timpani stressing quite a few beats. Most samples are wonderful. Which library is it ?. This might sound somewhat strange, but at times it feels as accompaniment for a theme that has not been written yet, but it still manages to keep listener's attention somewhat. In fewer words, sounds promising.
I don't think you'll have much feedback until you show something more concrete, more developed that might throw a clue of what your work is aiming at. Hence, I guess you cannot expect yet any one to tell you whether it was worthy or not.
By the way, this is just a humble opinion. Perhaps someone could come and draw an entire theme, an entire symphony out of it as it actually is. But in my case, after listening a few times, I could not feel I had at least a "semi-formed" picture of it.
Bye friend.
