Pop

This is the sketch for my newest piece. It doesn't have a title or much of a concept. it's not really "arty", but it is meant to be enjoyed for what it is. The harmonic language is kind of complex, lots of modulations and keys. They keys are C - Ab - E - C the first modulation of the piece adds 4 flats, and then after some intermediate keys we end up in E. At the recap, i used the same modulation to add 4 flats again, this time putting us back in C. The first time you hear the main theme it's in C lydian and Ab major, and then for the finale we end up in a nice, wholesome C major. I'm in the process of orchestrating this for a full size concert band, it's taking way longer than it did to write this. It also doesn't have an ending yet, and a handful of the melodies are more placeholders than actually melodies, but some are going to stay after they're embellished and prettied up a bit.
