Can you make Quarter tones in Finale? I really want to try to put Quarter tones in my music on my computer in Finale but I don't know how. Who knows?

You most certainly can, but it can get REALLY nasty depending on what you want to do. Start here:

While you can create the notation for it, Finale does NOT provide a good audio rendering of it. So, it's always good to know what you have in mind.

Speaking of this, how does one get Sibelius 6 to play quarter tones?

Just avoid quarter tones in everything you do, and you'll be fine. The world is a better place without them. :D

"Avant-garde music is a sort of research music. You're glad someone's done it but you don't necessarily want to listen to it.
It's similar to the way I'm very happy people have gone to the North Pole. It extends my concept of the planet to know it exists, but I don't want to live there, or even go there actually. But it's a boundary condition."

A lot of composers don't use it right in my opinion. But if you listen to folkmusic of Turkey then they use it on a logical way.
Thanks for your help! But I've made a mistake: I have Printmusic... Sorry! Can you do the same with printmusic?

Great information. I don't compose using microtones; however, it's great to know how to do it in Finale
