  1. Angela, it's nice you want to participate more, and you have given input on work...but, correct me if I'm mistaken, most of these critiques consist of "Bravo" or "Well done" or other such one-liners. If you want my vote, I need to see that you can give more detailed responses, and that you can give a fairly good amount of them :) I'm sure you can, so please do this for us, ok?

  2. Haha thanks a lot.. it was supposed to (oddly enough) make fun of bruce springsteen (in a way by not actually sounding like him at all) lol. so the first half was the only part i actually tried for. the second half is pretty random and stupid because that's what i was trying for. But I do like the way the first half turned out and thanks for the comments :)

  3. The theme is not bad, but it lacks at development, instrumentation, etc So overall it's unfortunately pretty boring

  4. this might because a lot of people know that progression, don't know they know it, and are happy to hear that familiar "sound". you know, most people don't play hours every day and look for something different because its been done(like us). i think it shows that its a classic progression that works for commons, but you still have to create that truthful original idea about those chord changes. its really a hopeful thing that this progression can be repeated so many times and not sound butchered(well, at least to alot of people beside us), the statement of the artist overcomes that. btw black, thanks for that link, amazing melody there, genesis are such a cinematic band, really connecting with each other and developing each other idea's. its much to complex song to become a hit, you agree :)

  5. Don't listen to the guy above. There was nothing constructive about his comment whatsoever. Besides it is not boring, it has the simplicity and yet the assurance of a piece heartily felt and emotionally expressive. What is important about music, it is the idea that one should do what comes from one's heart and not what other people want to hear. Keep exploring little by little, and you will find wonderful things about your talent. Best wishes!

  7. Ok so there are a lot of composers out there and a whole bunch of the well known ones today can't read music! For example Hans Zimmer can't read music but yet he composes quite well. So here in this forum please feel free to tell us of the composers you know that don't or can't read music, and fell free to speak your mind about it. P.S. Personally I think composers that can't read music are quite brave.
