  1. Ok so there are a lot of composers out there and a whole bunch of the well known ones today can't read music! For example Hans Zimmer can't read music but yet he composes quite well. So here in this forum please feel free to tell us of the composers you know that don't or can't read music, and fell free to speak your mind about it. P.S. Personally I think composers that can't read music are quite brave.

  2. Just because it is her(?) own style doesn't mean it can't still be in the baroque style. People now tend to follow less of the rules that are in forms like baroque and let their own outside influences and styles leak in, surely if the composer feels that it is baroque then provided its not 100% another genre like punk or minimalism and contains baroque elements then we can call it baroque. Personally it reminded my of baroque, Misha put the genre as baroque and a lack of dynamics was something that was common in baroque music due to a lot of instruments of the time. Not trying to sound scallopy or anything, I just think that you can write music in a genre and still make it your own. Otherwise every time someone did something innovative we'd have to create a new genre!
