So this is my attempt at cinematic music. This piece for orchestra took me an embarrassingly long time to write - I won't tell you how long. It is now finished although I better submit it soon before I change my mind and second guess myself about deleting some parts of it - sometimes it seems over-orchestrated or too cacophonous in some parts but that might be the MuseScore rendition. Although I think this rendition isn't really even that bad if you don't listen to it too loud. This piece is in both 5/8 and 5/4 at the same time throughout most of it which is why the notes are sometimes grouped strangely. So let me know if I've succeeded at the kind of eponymous cinematic mood that I was going for. Thanks for listening! EDIT: I realize now after publishing this score that the trombone parts aren't too practical. If this were ever performed I would give the 1st and 2nd trombone parts to two euphoniums and the 3rd trombone can be a bass trombone.

@luderart Thank you so much for your kind words! I don't want to overwhelm users/forum by posting too much, but I agree that context is important. So here's all three movements, along with their scores. I'm trying out Noteperformer, which sounds so much better!

This sounds great. Your ability to increase the tempo and restrain it shows off here. Good work on this. How long did it take you to create?

I listened to the third movement and enjoyed it. It would help to provide links to the first two movements for those, like me, who hadn't listened to them. As we all know a three movement piece's each movement needs to be listened to in the context of the whole piece for it to be fully understood and appreciated. As it is, I had to go look for the previous two movements in your profile. Fortunately I was able to find the 2nd and then the first. So I listened to them and then to this one a second time to put it in context. As I was not able to hear the movements one after the other, perhaps my judgement that each movement seems like a separate piece is not fully justified. But as standalone pieces they are enjoyable pieces. I hope that you can have them performed with real instruments and performers. I think an additional benefit of such a performance - besides the obvious ones of human interpretation and feeling and actual instrument voices, would be that the performers would create unity between the movements.
