  1. It can happen a looooot of things, better you start and tell us if you find a problem, if will be just first orchestral work don't try to go too far. In my case, I never write reductions, I write directly for all, very often my imagination goes too fast and I write the ending just after starting, so I write a work for my ending, in the middle part usually I write something, one page, next day I write another page, next day I listen and I don't like it and delete the whole thing and rewrite, that's why I'm so slow, I write like 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 1 + 1 - 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 7 etc I reject so many ideas
  2. I'm afraid this is not a question can have an answer as simple as the question was, I don't know but if you make a question like this perhaps you should start by learning an instrument until you reach an intermediate level, and all the music basics including minimal harmony theory, (Learning a polyphonic instrument like piano will help to make this process much faster), because it looks to me that you're hoping to find in internet something like this but in compositions, and can tell you, this is not like that. I could give you a sort of instructions to do something like this, but it would be my composition and not yours.
  3. No Low F to D Sharp is impossible you have even embouchure changing... take a look at the flute The open holes are D,E,F - G,A, so in 1st and 2nd 8vas you have only glisses between those two zones, (I mark in bold) like this: 1st 8va C,C#,D,D#,E,F,F#,G,G#,A,A#,B,C 2nd 8va C,C#,D,D#,E,F,F#,G,G#,A,A#,B,C 3rd 8va ? I don't play flute :P
  4. Why to care about the name in the first place ?
  5. Well the official position is that... nobody knows what happened with this, since in free lessons is impossible to offer a little more than mere advises with no schedule or program, and with paid lessons all this could happen but nobody seemed to be willing to pay a cent, so everything went down, until further notice.
  6. Which Software ? in sibelius, if you loaded samples after you saved your config, Sibelius will load an empty aria each time you open, you must load and set all you want and then save configuration again.

I don't think is a useful conversation since we don't understand each other... anyway that guy left with all his ridiculous security, people burned several dummy donkeys with his name, and now streets are full of trash...

  8. that's what they said, is only a speed change, with more time you think more, with less time you think less, decide faster, but at the end is quite similar.
  9. Improvisation is when you create while you play, what you're playing hasn't been previously decided like any other composition, you literally start playing without knowing what's next, or you only have in your mind the very next content but nothing more, is a chain or fast decisions you take according with what you've played so far, it is used in jazz, also church organist use it a lot. To improvise you build that chain or decisions with a large "library" of material you already have in your mind, so it doesn't become so hard because whatever you played before, you have several choices of musical material could work as continuation of the ideas you've used, improvisation doesn't need to be the entire material you use, for instance you can have a chord progression and only improvise the melody (more used in jazz) or the other way, to have the melody but improvise the harmony as an alternative harmonization of a theme (more in church organ improvisations) or both. There is also improvisation as a musical form, but I don't know how well defined it is, I only know it in organ written improvisations, where composer writes a close copy of what he improvised in the past, and turn it into a work can be played, published etc, maybe improvisation as form could be used for other pieces, like orchestrating a theme was originally improvised. Improvisation demands a lot of your musical skills, and it can show yourself how good you are at certain aspects of music, for instance I find easy to improvise in piano, (more as a harmony aspect) but not in saxophone (more as a melodic) aspect because I don't handle melodic lines as good as harmonic progressions. Hope this vid helps you. I always improvise at sunday mass exit (when I play it) just I don't play a monster like that, but a much smaller organ.
  10. Hello, I'd like to know if someone in here knows of a book, page, site etc where I could find information about adjusting a saxophone, but not just very simple stuff about "this is the 8va key" "this is called side key" blablabla, but on setting a new level on a pad, because I have a sax it remains with leaks even after sending it with the only guy in my city works in this business, on the other hand I don't wanna try to fix it myself because I've never done it and is a Selmer Paris sax so... I could make an epic fail. I've found leaks in F# key, middle Bb key and maybe more, I don't wanna spend more money with the same guy and I can't travel far to see other, if I send sax using packages transport adjustment can be lost in traveling, and I'm kinda angry that I have such terrific sax and I can't even play a scale. in case you want to tell somebody about this: (#13) F# Key, level on pad when closing (#15) E Key, level on key when closing (#5) C key when closing B key Model of sax: Selmer Paris, Super Action 80.
  11. ok this is absolute junk topic. @Aaron we'll check what's going on.

No of course not, he wrote operas, scenic concerts, scenic cantantas but singers are ON stage (recreations of greek theater plays) all I found in youtube is a bunch of ballet dancers doing choreografies have nothing to do with the play.

LOL :p (although I doubt Orff can be laughing at that)...

  17. "YC Cutest male" is like the Mr.YC and Miss.YC suggestions, but we men don't have our computer full of pictures of ourselves, and the Mr.YC poll would have to be restricted to women only because we don't wanna know how it feels to be voted my men....
  18. Maybe "YC Cutest girl" but you all will have to provide pictures  I miss organizing these things 'cause now I can't see anything on how's it going, is all secret to me :(
