Hey everyone! Here's another one of my instrumental pieces, this time it's a solo guitar instrumental. I composed it when I was 18 and I re-recorded the piece 1 year ago for my solo EP album. I performed it by myself. I intend to make another version with some additional instruments to it sometime in the future, but I guess it's also good just for a solo instrument. Let me know how you like it please!

Hey everyone! Please let me introduce you my new composition which will be included on my debut album "Ballerina", coming out in October, it's called "Reminiscence" and I composed the main theme a couple of years ago, but It felt incomplete to me and so I added more pieces to the puzzle and I hope you'll like it!

Another pure D.A.W. composition, this time with a little more to it, being the longest composition I've created to date. As always, my music feels unrelated, but they still fit each other some way even if the theme changes midway, and this one truly has a theme twist that I'm very humbly satisfied with. If you think about it, it's like a tale of a wanderer who lost his way, and describes some of his adventures and/or experience(s) along the way. Such experiences would be excitement mixed with fear, as in the excitement to explore accompanied with the awareness of whatever could go wrong. Then true adventuring as he goes through his way, learning and adapting to his surroundings. Followed by challenges and obstacles that come his way, and how he fights through, using all his previously gained experience, then roaring through his way. Then comes the emptiness or the disappointment (could be pictured as betrayal of an ally), as it amplifies into anger mixed with regrets and sadness, and later.. vengeance & determination. That's how I like music really, when it tells a story just by the music itself, lyrics are not necessary, but this leads to what happens in my tracks like the feeling of detached unrelated parts, and my goal in this musical journey of mine is to accomplish the mastery of such storytelling through music without having gone too much out of the general theme in such a quick time. I hope you enjoy it!

Since I couldn't find an obvious place for introductions, I'll say hi and jump right into posting music. I wrote this "tone poem", or what-should-I-call-it, for 2 violins, viola, guitar, flute, alto flute, oboe, english horn, and clarinet. I think it would be really interesting to receive some educational thoughts on the use of instrumentation, as well as structure and harmony in analytical terms. instrumental V.D. - Wrath of the Unbridled

Heaviest composition as of yet, it describes a story if your imagination is wild enough to get on track with the soundtrack. It takes you through the mindset of someone who's got nothing to lose, who's very desperate and reckless, raging in anger. Then he recollects himself, in mixed feelings of rage and agony, desperation and hatred. Then the rage and recklessness comes back, this time more intense, till the last breath (you decide what his recklessness led to..... maybe I can do a part two?) I hope you enjoy it, all my music are rather story-driven, but this composition is much more connected and generally following one theme instead of multiple ones regarding the musical atmosphere. Starting from the 2nd minute, please give me your opinion(s), as I've followed a different approach when making it than I generally do, I'm sure it's noticeable. -
I'm not very good at introductions.., so straight into the topic's purpose: This is my latest composition, completely made through music software, took some time to make (months of occasional effort actually), all suggestions and comments are welcomed, it's supposed to be a final version SO what fixes would have made it better? Sorry if the genre isn't like most of what's around here, I hope it's good enough to be appreciated though. Multiple instruments used, most notable are guitars, drums and a piano, and some other adjusted-to-sound-atmospheric instruments. Weird mix huh? Apologies if this should have been posted in the Electronic section, I don't really know whether it means software-instruments music or electronic genre.

Still not great at introductions, so straight into the composition: it's a mixture of atmospheric 'suspense' and semi-horror feels. It's basically one of the least metal/rock - ish creations I have created, having the heaviest part in the end. All opinions will be very appreciated, and hopefully will add up to my overall experience for better creations in the future, hopefully. Enjoy! As mentioned above it's less on the 'Rock' side so I assume this is the right place for it. Also, just for the sake of it, is the video in any way pleasing or immersive?

Hey everyone! This is a piece I composed in the style of the soundtrack of the Spyro the Dragon playstation1 series for which Stewart Copeland, the legendary Police drummer has composed the soundtrack. As kids, we used to play these games a lot with my siblings, apart from the wonderful gameplay, funny moments or great graphics, It was also the music stat stood out for me. I only recently found out that it was Stewart Copeland who composed this wonderful soundtrack. This music influenced me in a big way I think, because I really loved listening to it ever since a little kid. And so I decided to compose something in that style. Something original with the vibe of the game´s soundtrack and I gave it to my sisters as a Christmas gift :-) I recorded the whole piece with my Yamaha Motif FX8 synth using all the sounds from there, pretty cool synth! Sword in My Hand (Opus 16) was inspired by Celtic and Medieval folk music. It was a part of my music production class assignment asking for complete percussion tracks. It was challenging, since I'm completely not a rhythm oriented person, and I think that the rhythm section is the worst part of the composition. Among several other instruments, the piece is played by celtic harp, hammered dulcimer, tin whistle, recorder, lute, irish bouzouki, accordion and string section (violins, cellos and basses). It is written in E flat major with a short bridge in E flat minor. The composition is all midi; I'm not capable of finding a musician playing a harp to be able to record my music, and I only possess low piano skills. I'm also not pretty sure about the panning and reverb accuracy. There is no score for this composition. I personally think, that this is one of my worst works I've ever completed. Heyoh fellow composers! This composition confuses me. It started as an expression for some feelings you can hear in the beginning, but escalated into quite big orchestral with quite a variety of emotions. But I still find it to be reflective - I just don't know what it's about. Just that it hits me damn hard. I don't know what to name it, so I left the original name at least for now. Any thoughts, associations or points of view this strikes in you would be interesting to know! Also, criticism is most welcome ^^ Cheers!

Blissful Morning (Opus 15, classical version) written for piano, flute, violoncello, and a little dose of synthesizer in the finale. Originally, I planned on adding a toy piano sound, but unfortunately my software (Logic Pro X) doesn't have one. Instead of that, one of the syntheiszer leads has been added. The piece is written in F major entirely. I was trying to not jump too much in the rhythm sections or harmony, since my music teacher advised me to try to stick to one idea - sometimes less is more, and ideal doesn't mean perfect. “The show went on” is my first officially released song. I’ve posted it here a couple of weeks ago. With so much going on with it musically, I thougnt it would be nice to get a “stripped to the essentials” version of it. So, here it is, just the piano, strings and winds. I think it sounds like a real and complete instrumental track on it’s own and could work well as a movie soundtrack. What do you think?

I haven't written music specifically for youth/education, but I've noticed that in that field, many composers will characterize the difficulty levels of their pieces as "grade 3," "grade 4," etc. Are there lists online with specifics for each "grade" standard? How does one quantify difficulty level when there are so many factors? (If there are ensemble-specific lists, I'm primarily interested in finding out the standards for string ensemble music -- and music for solo instrumentalists.) Thank you.
