  1. Hi producers and composers alike! "A Hero's Return" marks the tail end of Prisoner 8's journey. But is it truly the end as he hopes it will be?
  2. Hi everyone! I'm excited to be a part of this community. This track is part of a 40 minute long symphony I have been working on for about five months. I'd appreciate any feedback or critiques Thank you thank you thank you
  3. I've had this melody lying around for a while. It reminded me so strongly of John J Powell's score for "How to train your dragon", so I went for a similiar style overall. Not quite sure about the Countermelody in the last 4 Bars, half of me likes the vibe, half of me hates it. Btw, don't mind the name of the mp3, it's an inside-joke in my Family ^^ Ohnezahn4Life .mp3 I've forgotten to post on here for a while, so if you wanna listen to more, check out my instagram (I upload all the scores on there, sry for the little ad :p ). https://www.instagram.com/music.by.leander/?hl=de
  4. I'm an amateur composer and this is my first piece with Sibelius & Noteperformer.I'll be very grateful if you can give me some feedback!
  5. So I was cruising around the site and I came across a piece by @celloman99 which was Dawn and Sunrise, I listened to this and thought, this is cool! Suddenly inspiration hit and I made a very crappy opposite version of their piece and called it accordingly. If it's bad I totally get it because I put it together in quite a hurry and mainly did this for fun, so tear away at it!
  6. Hello! This is my first composition since I started learning about orchestration and composing last year. The sounds are directly from Musescore so it isn't great. I started out composing just for the sake of learning but realized that I enjoyed it very much. I spent a lot of time on it and ended up with this. I'm an amateur composer but I hope you'll like it. I'm happy for any kind of feedback. Eirik Gisnås https://musescore.com/gisnaas/an-epic-adventure
  7. Little fantasy adventure piece I never posted. I hope you guys enjoy it!
  8. Hey, here's a little track I composed after watching Sherlock. This is the first cue I composed after reading about sections, so I tried a simple A-B-A structure. Also, it's the first cue I composed after learning about sentences, the A section is a simple sentence, tell me what you're thinking about it. I hope it's ok if I'll just link to the Instagram post, I upload it on there anyway and I've had some trouble with the mp3-player on this website. Click here to listen to the cue on Instagram
  9. A piece with a bit of a cinematic texture. Writing a lot of orchestral stuff nowadays. It's a very healing, soothing process. Hope you enjoy :)
  10. The only real Ensemble piece I think I've ever written https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=61s&v=KRLE0oLd4IU
  11. Hello, I sequence music as a hobby and made this as a short leitmotif for a historic character of a comic I'm writing. I'm kinda nervous posting this since I've only written music for a few years and it doesn't sound that great, I want to get feedback despite crippling anxiety since even as a hobby, I feel I need proper guidance from someone but most of the time I'm too scared to do so.
  12. Just a little Disclaimer: I've got no idea how to call this kind of sound, I know it's definetly not "pulsing music". If you know, pls tell me xD A first try at this kind of breathing, atmospheric music. Tried to automate everything's volume. Atm I can't automate dynamics because the Kontakt Factory Library triggers them by velocity. By the end of the month I'll probably have bought Albion One , then I can. Btw, any thoughts on Albion One? (especially on their conecpt of patches("low strings" and "high strings" instead of seperate instruments)) Pulse Something.mp3 Composed to this picture:
  13. Hello everyone, in the last few weeks I worked on this track. The idea of the melody at the beginning I had a couble months ago. Inspired from the Davy Jones theme music (Pirates of the Caribbean). In this piece I wanted to tell two different things in a pirates life. The first part of my track is about the calm moments on their ship. The picture works perfect for this part. A wonderful night scene, moonlight, the sea.. This picture was also very inspiring for me.. Anyway, the second part is about the other side when the pirate is in action. On a fight or something like this. In my opinion the second part doesn't work so well musically. I had some trouble to make it sound big. What do you think about it? I look forward to any feedback! Regards and enjoy ;)
  14. The_Path_Of_The_Secret_Forest.mp3 Hi! it is just a small try after a weekend on an amazing forest i went last Summer! Feel free to enjoy! Orchestral strings, flute & a sunny day! 🙂
  15. I made an orchestral piece in November 2017 called "A night in gotham city". I hope you like it!
  16. So, school ended early today and for an unkwon reason I was like "Well, let's write a score with just one chord". Don't ask me why, I don't know either... I tried to keep some stuff (i.e. the choir) very simple because this probably is the biggest arrangement I've done yet. I innitially composed what is now the outro to this pic but got off topic as time passed: https://www.pinterest.de/pin/372602569156669637/ Btw, I watched POTC 1-4 lately so you might here some of that in there; enjoy :)
  17. Hello ! this is my new soundtrack i hope you like it !
  18. Hello guys ! i hope you like it! any criticism is welcome :)
  19. Hi there, for a long time I wanted to write something like this: a flamboyant "final fight" track with broad, heroic themes swirling above driving ostinati. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=674265&songID=13676086 Originally this piece belongs to the score I wrote for a student film project realised many many years ago. The music was produced via a MIDI-based digital sequencer and of course orchestral sample libraries. Unfortunately, the London Symphony Orchestra was just too busy at the moment for a recording session. :P While the last bars in asymmetrical 7/8 meter surely feel a bit overloaded (with syncopated choir fills and such), I am quite happy with the overall arrangement and the final mix. But maybe I am a little bit biased since I listened to it too often and it's just chaos to your ears... 😉 If you have some hints on how to improve the mix, sound, orchestration etc. please feel free to let me know. Best regards, Dustin
  20. EDIT: I had to post a link to the pic because the mp3 player doesn't work whenever there is a pic in the post Hey, I tried to write a score to a picture that I found online. I imagined this as kind of and Outro to a TV show. As the music get's more action the protagonist climbs onto his airship (is that what it's called) and turns it on to leave. For the Outro imagine him vanishing in the Clouds and when he's gone the celesta sets in and maybe there is something like a little spoiler to the next episode. Composed by using the Kontakt Factory Library https://www.pinterest.de/pin/AUp10C-hi3MBJNT3V7jXmZAdVSQfbKbBSOU6lXLHQVMp6GRYyKSZFMQ/
  21. Hi all, my fiancé got me a standard iMac and MacBook Air just cause she's awesome, so before that guy try's to tell me that what I have isn't enough, I'm not able to upgrade because I am still learning and haven't gotten my foot in the door yet I have free projects that are offering me work that's it. they only run 8 gigs of RAM, and I need to get something usable for small projects orchestral wise whether it's garrison or whatever I can't spend more than like 400 at the ABSOLUTE most and even still I don't want to spend more than 200-300...are there ANY decent libraries that 8 gigs can handle...I'm not trying to sound like a butthole but everywhere I look people act like you have to spend 1000 dollars to have anything worth using, and all of them apparently require 200 gigs it's frustrating, I'm sorry but I am new any advice?
  22. Hello everyone, my second post here ;) I bought a new amazing Strings Library on Thanksgiving. So now I want to share my first track with this strings here. I'm so excited about this library, it was great to play around with all the articulations.. I focused mainly on the arrangement of the strings in this song. But this time on the mixing as well.. Not sure if it's to much eq. But I hope it's fine. Anyway... merry christmas and enjoy!
  23. Hi everyone, I'm new here. Looks like a great group. I compose my music with FL Studio for a few years now. So I want to share a little selection of my (maybe best) tracks here. What do you think about my music? I look forward to any feedback! :)
  24. Not sure if it fits in the topic, but here is a vocal cover with orchestration of The Rains of Castamere from the Game of Thrones series. Hope you like it and Id like to hear your thoughts!
  25. Hi Guys! This is my first post. I would love to hear your opinions on my take on: The Rains of Castamere, the most epic song from Game of Thrones.
