It has been awhile since I posted anything, so I thought I post this little piece here. Although I completed the piece back in January, I haven't made any of the score yet, until now. Also, this is the first piece that I wrote for piano and clarinet. I think it turned out nice. Let me know what you think! PS: the detuning throughout the piece is just for an aesthetic purposes, it kinda gives like a distant memory/nostalgia feel to it, i guess. Update 1.2 After a long time stalling, I finally revised the piece according to some feedback that I've received. Here are the changes: Changed a little bit of the cadenza and changed the clarinet to an A clarinet. Revised the score to match the changed version. Updated the recording to match the revised version. Thank you once again for the feedback!

For Good Friday. SAB and cello, or one hand of piano or organ if you don't have a cellist. Choirs always have a harder time finding tenors and basses than female singers, and the problem is worse right now, when so many older singers left due to the pandemic and haven't returned yet. So I thought I would write something with a baritone part that sits right in the middle of the male range. An actual baritone will have a few lovely notes on either side of the range that this is written, but this particular piece can be sung by a tenor without going too low, and also isn't too high for a bass. So whoever you happen to have in your choir, this should be performable, and in normal times, when the tenors and basses together are generally still pretty few in numbers, you'll get a nice balanced sound against the sops and altos. Any thoughts on my cello slurring, cellists? I played violin off and on, but I would love the take of current string players. Hello guys, long time no see. I have been quite busy and I struggled a lot with this composition, but it is finally over and I came here to share it with all you. ^^ I hope you don't mind me copying the video descrition, I'm to tired to do a custom descrition here. This piece took so long to compose, around 45 hours. The main reason for that was that I got a mental block with it and I couldn't tie two sections of the work. I'm thankful to Carlos Barbé for enlightening me and making realize a couple of key things that I needed to sort out in order to do some progress. This is the last composition I will do for my "Dream Fantasies" set. After some consideration I decided to let the performer decide in what order to play the 3 pieces. I wanted to offer some freedom and let different musicians decide how they understood the whole thing. The piece is filled with lots of references to Nostalgia and A Sleepy Apology, so it can work as a nexus or a summary. This piece in particular is quite abstract, but its main theme is time. What it really means... Unfortunately I couldn't get a better performance because I finished this piece yesterday (31/01/2022-08/04/2022) and the most technically challenging fragment was the last thing I did. So I had vitually no time to properly practice the thing and also the piano where I played is super unbalanced (sometimes you play a key and it doesn't make a sound and in other instances it sounds too loud). But I think at least I got the right mood I had in mind (even though I calculated the piece should have a duriation of around 5' 40", so I played the slow section way too slow, sorry about that haha). Hopefully I will be able to record in my own piano in the near future. Oh, and I played this while having some kind of injury in my feft hand index finger, so yeah haha. And my hand hurted a bit after the loud section with 4ths, I don't know what I'm doing wrong to get injuries so easily. Thank you to everyone who supported me and showed interest. Greetings everybody here! The following is another piece of work in the same set as the previous work: Miroirs et Fleur et de Lune. This work is entitled as Jeux, trying to picture a game of light and dark, switching from dissonance to finally a pentatonic scale, a joy atmosphere at D major. Hi all, Any comments would be greatly appreciated, particularly on the piano part as I'm not a pianist. I wanted to write something that would give the pianist a chance to shine, but also am aware that pay for professional accompanists is low for all that they do, and that it just isn't possible to ask them to spend hours practicing a single three-minute piece for a single concert if they are going to make a living. If thinning down some of the fast chords would be a good idea for the sake of practicality, pianists, let me know. I don't want to go any slower than this tempo; the choir would risk running out of air. There is a lot of beautiful, slow music for choirs, so fun, fast pieces are always in demand to balance out a concert program. The text describes the mating dance of a cloud of solitary wasps, observed by American husband and wife entomology team Phil and Nellie Rau near St. Louis in the early 1900s. "The whole was not a helter-skelter commotion, but a merry whirl to the music of a faint, eerie hum of many wings, with every few moments a rather musical crescendo, which sounded like “zip!”, when a whirling pair would suddenly dash off at triple speed on the wing, in the final fling of joyful abandon..." - from"Wasp Studies Afield," published 1918. I recently completed this short showpiece I mostly wrote for myself. I'm going to be trying to arrange a live performance very soon, after I learn the part of course. For now all you have is Finale's rendering, but it should give you the idea. I'm not going after any particular composer's style, I'm just trying to write something that is simultaneously accessible, flashy and difficult, but also musically sophisticated. valse brilliante.pdf

First of all, hi! I'm new to this forum and I already forgot how I got here, but glad to be nonetheless! I tried to upload my two sonatas for piano in that software but the page gives me a 404 or takes forever to upload, sorry. I will upload the pdfs & mp3 files (computer tries, I am not good enough to play my own pieces sadly). Hope you find them decent enough, they are finished so I doubt I'll change anything but I am constantly trying to get some time and compose, thus any feedback will be appreciated for my future works whatever they be. For reference, they are my 42nd and 47th "minor works" (I label them like that when there are less than ~10 instruments). Some text is in spanish but it's not important in order to play the piece most of the times. I blame myself for the lack of digitation, as I do think some parts would need it. I'm writing my fourth piano sonata and I have the exposition, but I don't know what to do in the development. I've been thinking about just doing the second theme in minor and then chromatically and dramatically transitioning back to the first theme, but I feel I could do more. I think it's time to present myself to this young composer forum, so I would like to show you my very first professional work, my piano sonata in c minor. A piece in for movements that I started composing in summer 2017 and I finished in early 2018. The sonata was originally based in 3 movements, so in 2020, during the pandemic I decided to make a revision of the whole score and to add an extra movement. Hello! I've been finding myself composing multiple pieces at a time. I find a theme (I guess that's what it's called) that was meant to be a part of a bigger piece and use it to begin or create a new piece. Anyways, I think this piece could be way better, especially how I deal with the topic of tension and releasing tension. That is, if you notice, every time a "climax" is reached I just hit a very low note that is meant to be a sort of a musical slap. But I really think there are other ways to deal with climax. Comparing to my previous "pieces", I think this one is more solid, even though not as I would like it to be. Feedback would be appreciated.

Max Payne, since I got to know it back in 2006, has been one of my favorite games. Its atmosphere, the presentation of simple but tragic story, the snow-covered New York City, all of that forever imprinted itself in many ways and partly shaped my taste for good atmospheric games. The main musical theme of this one remains one of the most recognizable to me. Hearing the very first notes awakens my old, warm memories of a time spent in this dark and atmospheric world. It was this theme that I thought about writing variations on for a year, but all the time it didn't work out. I had no energy, or even no idea how to write my own variations on such a not very classical musical theme. However, recently, on July 28, quite unexpectedly, I sat down at the piano to practice, and as a result I wrote a variation in one night, originally I had no intention of composing anything at all. Even more interesting for me, on July 31, I came across a video from remedy. As it turned out, it was Max Payne's birthday on July 23. It had been 20 years since the game's release. Well, let this be my little gift and thanks to this game for good memories. I hope the music turned out well. Happy past birthday, Max! -

Hi, I just wanted to share this little try that I did to lofi, it's bassically just piano with a bass and drums and a harp in some parts, with lofi effects and a sampled spech by jordan peterson called "Advice for hyper intelectual people". I called this, soft intellectual lofi. It's a random name Ik. I just have a mp3 but I writted all of the piano parts, so it is original, the only sampled was the speech and some vinyl effects.
