Hello everyone. It's a rough few months for me in a lot of ways, so this is really the first piece I have put up in a while. I don't often talk in the forum, as I usually just post. Anyway, here is my first, proper symphony, my Op. 41, and it is about my stay at Dublin last spring. I loved my time there, and I plan on returning soon. It is in four, semi-programmatic movements, and the whole piece is about 40 minutes. I really wanted to share it with everyone, so let me know your thoughts and criticisms, which I always appreciate. Hi everyone! This is yet another piece from my debut piano album "Ballerina", the piece is called "With You" and I wrote it back in 2014. This piece differs from other pieces on the album by it's structure. It's heavily based on chordal harmonies accompanied by slight melody, it's more of a moody piece I'd say while most of the other pieces are more melodic. Please take a listen and let me know! I have dropped out of the summer competition due to some serious writer's block. Even now, nothing I write seems to be up to par. It's really gotten me into a bit of a funk. Anyway, here is the single, very short movement of my entry that I have actually completed. It's based on the 1822 Caspar David Friedrich painting 'Mondaufgang am Meer' (Moonrise over the Sea) -- one of my favorite works by my one of my favorite visual artists. He also painted a work of the same name in 1821, but I much prefer the 1822 version. Here is a place where everybody wears rose colored glasses.. Definitely easy listening. The guitar patches are Real Guitar, and UVI's Sunbird, you can choose the guitar picking pattern, but they are not able to be displayed as notes, so their display is not note accurate. Other instruments, (non pitched, vague pitch, I displayed on one line cliffs, to save space.

07. Mrs. Fieldmouse, Mr. Mole.mp3 This suite of ten short movements tells the story of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale "Thumbelina," written in my best attempt at the Romantic idiom. For those not familiar with the story, find the full text here or a synopsis here. This piece is the culmination of many, many hours of work for me, and I consider it my best work thus far. It lasts about 25 minutes total. Any feedback would be especially appreciated. Thanks for listening!
