  1. Hi everyone! I joined the forum today and i want to share two of my recent compositions. I'm not very good guitar player so please forgive my mistakes These are my compositions. I'm very new to this stuff and i would be very happy if you shared your critique with me. Dernière Valse Coeur Fissuré
  2. Hello everyone! I have yet another piece here for you, from my debut piano album "Ballerina". It´s a waltz this time and it´s a kind of minimalist waltz given the simplicity and the emphasis put on the melodies. Please give it a listen and feel free to let me know how you like it, I´ll be very glad to read your opinions. You can find the full album here https://oliverbohovic.bandcamp.com/album/ballerina
  3. Hello guys ! i hope you like it! any criticism is welcome :)
  4. Hi there, for a long time I wanted to write something like this: a flamboyant "final fight" track with broad, heroic themes swirling above driving ostinati. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=674265&songID=13676086 Originally this piece belongs to the score I wrote for a student film project realised many many years ago. The music was produced via a MIDI-based digital sequencer and of course orchestral sample libraries. Unfortunately, the London Symphony Orchestra was just too busy at the moment for a recording session. :P While the last bars in asymmetrical 7/8 meter surely feel a bit overloaded (with syncopated choir fills and such), I am quite happy with the overall arrangement and the final mix. But maybe I am a little bit biased since I listened to it too often and it's just chaos to your ears... 😉 If you have some hints on how to improve the mix, sound, orchestration etc. please feel free to let me know. Best regards, Dustin
  5. Hey everyone! I've been recently posting some of my piano pieces from my new album and this is yet another one of them. It's actually a very old musical idea of mine, I think it was one of my first piano pieces, but it seemed unfinished so I made some changes and additions to the original and the result is here. Feel free to let me know how you like it! If anyone's interested, you can listen/buy the full album here 💿https://oliverbohovic.bandcamp.com/album/ballerina💿 Or here 📀http://store.cdbaby.com/cd/olivernosaczynskibohovic📀
  6. Hi everyone! This is yet another piece from my debut piano album "Ballerina", the piece is called "With You" and I wrote it back in 2014. This piece differs from other pieces on the album by it's structure. It's heavily based on chordal harmonies accompanied by slight melody, it's more of a moody piece I'd say while most of the other pieces are more melodic. Please take a listen and let me know! If anyone would be interested here you can listen/buy my album 💿https://oliverbohovic.bandcamp.com/album/ballerina💿
  7. Hello guys this is my new song. I hope you like it and any criticims is welcome! :) in this soundtrack or song.. I wanted to put the life of a warrrior after killing his enemies their souls do not leave him in piece in his mind..
  8. My friend is making a fantasy themed Broforce-like game, yet when I gave him fantasy tracks he said its lame, and that he wants real music. I wanted to impress him with this piece I made as a final boss battle that is a mix of the two other boss battles and the victory theme. Woulod like to hear your feedback. *It's made of opening, loop, and ending+victory, you don't have to listen to every single part, the loop is the important one.
  9. Hi Young Composers, In my latest article, I discussed about why most modern game soundtracks are boring and lifeless and how to remedy it. And this has actually very little to do with composer's technical skill as most would think. Take a read and see if it make sense, or if you have encountered circumstances as discussed in the article. Also, it'll be helpful if composers(you guys!) in this forum can have a discussion if you agree with me or not. :) https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/why-most-modern-game-soundtracks-lifeless-marvel-symphonic-yoa/ Being an experienced composer/audio specialist for visual media with over 10+ years of experience and have worked on projects with over $85 million in the box office and multiple other award winning projects. 10. Hello im novice composer from Argentina and i share with you one of my works. i accept critisisms, they help me improve and i hope you like it.
  11. Hey guys! I wrote a song inspired by world war 2 movies. I've been watching quite a lot lately and I naturally wrote this piece. https://soundcloud.com/nicolasguerrero/rendezvous-with-destiny Let me know your thoughts!
  12. This is my latest cinematic orchestral piece "Gone". I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Click the YouTube link below: "Gone" by Karisa L. Clark
  13. Hey everyone! This is a piece I wrote back in 2013 and I now recorded the piece for my debut album "Ballerina" which you can listen to or buy here https://oliverbohovic.bandcamp.com/album/ballerina I hope you guys like it!

    Arcade

Think of it as an arcade game music. It's meant to go in loops. Please listen and give your feedback.
  15. I have no music sheet for this one. I can make one but it might take a while. It was written for a computer game so its quite repetitive. Hope you'll still enjoy it :) Please listen and give your feedback.
  16. I uploaded it only for this forum, because mp4 files can't be uploaded here. So please don't share it with anyone without my premission. I know it's not great, but I'd like to hear your opinion anyway. Thanks :P *I had no choir samples when I made this one, so every time I wanted to show that something that has something to do with the final defeat of the dark lord, I used chimes, that sounds like the church bells.
  17. Just another preview I made for the video game we are working on ... I was asked to describe a Jinn (some kind of demon in Middle eastern culture, referenced in Qur'an, and also Iranian and Arabian legends and mythologies) with music. But, this Jinn is not a typical Jinn (to help you imagine Jinn, you can consider "baphomet" without wings). This Jinn shows himself as a human with a mask to people, and he doesn't annoy or injure them until they make him angry. Also, I was asked to include Iranian folk instruments in my music. And, I made this :
  18. Hey everyone! This piece is something unusual to me, as I was always writing my original music, but this time I made a re-make of a 80's pop song which was a major hit in Slovak radios back then. I have been asked by the artist himself-Peter Nagy, to do a different version, something in the romantic/movie piano style of my other compositions from the album that I gifted to him, and so I gladly agreed and here's the result. You can also listen to the original 80's version by Peter Nagy here. On the top there's the original version and down below there's my version. I hope you'll like it! P.S. my version is also included on my debut piano album which you can listen to or buy here https://oliverbohovic.bandcamp.com/album/ballerina
  19. Hey people, This one is only a short track but I was trying to match the setting of a busy airport. Im not too sure how effective it is because I've listened to it way too much and cant really tell anymore haha but I would love your feedback :) Cheers guys
  20. Hey guys! I know this might be a lot to digest but I'd love to have your thoughts on that work. It's the first soundtrack I release as a whole. I've been working with a development team on this one but sadly we had halt the development. It has a lot of flaws but I think it is worthy of sharing with you. The game was set to be a 2D platformer story driven adventure in a fantasy world with spirits and such (inspired by japanese shintoism). Anyway I'll leave you with the music and thank you already for any feedback you'd like to provide me with. Here's the link (I don't know how to implement it as embed media. Would love someone to explain me how to do that) https://soundcloud.com/nicolasguerrero/sets/project-water
  21. Thought I'd change it up a little and try a band style theme. Let me know your thoughts and criticisms.
  22. Hey everyone! Here's another one of my instrumental pieces, this time it's a solo guitar instrumental. I composed it when I was 18 and I re-recorded the piece 1 year ago for my solo EP album. I performed it by myself. I intend to make another version with some additional instruments to it sometime in the future, but I guess it's also good just for a solo instrument. Let me know how you like it please!
  23. I'd like to interest you with my latest creation: Play-Force 2A03 which is a music soundtrack that one can use for any spaceship shooter that is famicom related in it's design https://adplay.bandcamp.com/album/play-force-2a03 It contains many tunes that are typical to that specific genre and I find it an advancement compared to former artwork of mine of the late years. Take a listen, have an impress and any feedback would be useful to me regarding my creation, a potential purchase as well but mostly I would like you to see and experience it as it played on the web-store's page. Thank you in advance and I hope it inspires you as well to create and experience with electronic music and Famicom related material
  24. I am really curious to your thoughts on this track! apart from the ugly cello samples, some mastering screw ups and way too many slides, I am quite happy with it.
  25. Hey people would love some feedback on this track :) please criticize the crap out of it if you want - anything is welcome. Thanks guys, your input has shaped my composing more than i can express and I appreciate and value every word of it.
