  1. Hello Everyone! I'm Emile, I'm 18 years old and I'm from a little island called Aruba in the Caribbean. I'm really passionate about Music, I'm a Classical/Romantic Composer/Pianist and started to compose when I was 12 and started with the piano at 14(able to play late Beethoven sonatas). And I've started to try my best to be known out there currently working on a piano concerto in f minor, string quartets and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and getting involved in the great things happening here on this forun. This is the 12 variations on a theme in C major. But this is the 11th Variation! this is my first Toccata and First Fugue! this toccata took me several weeks and i was inspired by the intro of his Choral Fantasy when i first listened to it! and i decided to dedicate this to Beethoven because I finish the piece a day before his birthday. Dedicated to (Departed) Ludwig van Beethoven, Birthday of the Year 2023 P.S - The 3 voice fugue is not in strict form it's a wander/sonata form 12 Variations and Nocturne for Viola and Piano on a theme in C Major.mid
  2. Dear all, This is a piece I wrote back then, in 2021, for a call-for-score competition of a piano performing competition. This is meant to be a part of the repretoire performers can choose from for their programme. Unfortunately, the competition is heavily impacted by the pendemic and I cannot listen to the live/ streamed performance of this peice. Here is my original note for this work. "This toccata is the second work in the composer’s recent piano series which explore polyrhythmic motif development. The piece starts with a simple, tranquil theme and it evolves into a fast quasi-fugue. Later, the passionate 3-against-5 passage enters with contrasts to the first motif. After the appearance of both motives, variations follow and direct the development for the rest of the toccata. " HoYin
  3. A songlike piece in a way of toccata.
  4. This is my first shot at composing an organ Toccata. Ed's_Toccata_in_E_minor.pdf
  5. I composed this piece last year ago. it is a great challenge to play... if some pianist want to play it, contact me. danilolamas@hotmail.com
  6. This is a piece for solo violin in a neo-baroque style. It's virtuosic in places but (I think) playable.
  7. I'm a great fan of Bach's Toccatas for harpsichord (BWV 910 to BWV 917), which have many sections (toccata itself, slow parts, fugues etc.). Do you know any other composer (from a period AFTER baroque) that has toccatas in the same style? I mean, not only the improvisatory/virtuosistic ones? For example, Ravel has a toccata, which is completely different from these ones by Bach. So, I'm looking for any one similar to it (Buxtehude also has some, but he's baroque, and I want from other periods). Thanks
